Vias institute regularly publishes a dashboard that reflects the most recent developments in mobility in Belgium. The dashboard provides information on the distribution of the modes of transport used for travel in Belgium.
This information is based on an online survey of a sample of 1,000 people each month for the ongoing period. The data is compared with figures from previous years.
These respondents constitute, on the basis of their age, gender and place of residence, a representative sample of the Belgian population aged 18 and over. During the survey, respondents were asked about the trips they made the day before. Specifically: what means of transport did they use and how many kilometres did they travel?
